Hand drawn chalkboard menus for a Ponsonby cafe in Auckland, New Zealand. No matter how casual or ornate in style, I try to give every signage job it's own personal typographic quirks and systems. For this job I drew inspiration from the chill cafe atmosphere and existing style elements of religious iconography and South American tattoos, with a lean towards the feminine. I regret not having more complete documentation, but travelling light means camera phone photos only. If you are ever taking a stroll down Ponsonby, the Bloody Mariana is delicious.
